Israel

For more than 20 years now, our popular ERETZ Programme has been led by volunteers to provide a carefully curated programme, to reflect the community’s commitment to Israel.
The programme is designed, not just to keep members in touch with Israel and Israeli life, but also to attract non-members to join West London Synagogue by demonstrating how vibrant, diverse, and relevant our offering is.
We achieve this through a dynamic and varied series of educational and cultural events, taking advantage of a wide variety of excellent partners in the UK, Israel and internationally.
Throughout the course of the year, the ERETZ Programme aims to entertain, inform, educate, and often challenge us, celebrating the miracle that is Israel, but also triggering healthy debate and discussion on issues to which often there is no easy answer. The programme analyses the often rapidly changing news agenda, responding quickly and nimbly to members’ needs.
The ERETZ Programme offers a warm welcome to regular and new attenders alike, and it really appreciates suggestions, and offers of volunteer support. Donations large and small are always gratefully received towards our running costs.
